Smallville Recs:

I've recc'ed this one recently over at TWoP, but since it's probably my all-time favorite Smallville fic, it's only right that I include it here: Convergence, by Rushlight. I'm really awestruck by how well put-together this story is.   Multiple universes - and therefore, multiple distinct Clarks, Lexes, and CLex relationships - should be difficult to make sense of, but Rushlight makes it seem so easy. I love the atmosphere, especially in the second half. I love the characterizations, the plotline itself, the suspense... everything about it, really. Definitely a must-read - if possible, all in one sitting. If you have trouble accessing it at Rushlight's site, it can also be found here at the SSA.

And while I'm on the subject of personal favorites, let me include one of my very favorite videos - Sisa Bet's SV vid of Placebo's Without You I'm Nothing. Lexcentric, focusing on the two central relationships of his life at this point - with Clark, and with Lionel. The vid itself is fantastically woven together, the images and effects selected fit the words, notes and tone of the music incredibly well, and just keep getting better as the song progresses. Awesome job... I just can't play this one often enough. I adore Placebo to begin with, and this is one of their best songs, so seeing it so well-blended with Smallville is just such a treat to me. And special thanks to Frelling Tralk (another highly talented vidder that I'll be recc'ing here in the near future) at TWoP for locating this one for me when I asked about Placebo/SV vids.

By the way, in the coming days, I'll be setting up an archive for earlier rec's, so there will be plenty of others to choose from, as well. One thing I've got to say - Smallville's creative fandom is one of the most talented I've seen - there's a wealth of good stuff out there!
